“Most Romantic stay ever”Trip Advisor
Sanket and the staff were the most welcoming and hospitable people we have ever met.
During our stay, everyone at Omshanti made my girlfriend’s birthday the most special she’s ever had.
It was safe and blissful. I can’t recommend Omshanti enough.
Thank you so much for all your hard work and we hope to see you all very soon.

Om Shanti is situated perfectly along the beach, and the service is at an excellent standard. During my stay at Om Shanti i felt completely safe and looked after at all times.I would higly recommend Om Shanti to anyone who is travelling for the first time, and to those who are repeat visitors. You always feel safe around the people that work there as they treat you with warmth and sincerity. I would, without any hesitation visit Om Shanti year after year. I had the best holiday during my two week stay, and i plan on returning to Goa next year, and i am undoubtedly going to stay at Om Shanti.

“Simply Superb”Trip Advisor
We just came back from our trip to this lovely beach and a wonderful place to stayin
I would Rate 5\5 for its Location. 4\5 for Food. The huts are cosy and the location is just perfect.
The Staff was hygiene conscious and hence we doing the best they can to keep the place clean.
The staff was very supportive and informative. we also rented the bikes and had no problem with our experience staying here.
I would highly recommend it to everyone.

“Relaxed place right on the beach”Trip Advisor
Step out of the huts and walk through the bar/restaurant area and you’re right on the beach. Helpful, fun and friendly staff. Right next to the main path with shops going inland. Showers are fine, beds are hard & good. Would have wished for an extra sheet on the bed between me and the covers, but that was a minor thing.
Best things: hearing the waves crashing on to the beach at night and the sunset. People at Patnem were very relaxed and friendly, the beach was good, the food above par.
Worst things: lots of crows around – those and noisy packs of dogs woke us a couple of times at night.

“What a perfect spot for relaxation”Trip Advisor
Like one of your other reviewers I too moved here from Palolem which I found too noisy.
I came down on spec and fell in love with the brightly painted huts just steps away from the beach. All I could hear at night was the sea lapping on the beach, bliss.
Great food too and very friendly staff. In the evening the whole beach looks very romantic as all the bars and restaurants put tables and chairs on the beach lit only by candles and flares but I met loads of people also travelling on their own and there was generally a very friendly vibe.

“Bohood Acha!” (Awesome!)Trip Advisor
I stayed here for ten days in March 2011 at the end of a hard trip. The guys were friendly, intelligent and fun. The rooms were very good value, relatively secure and included a mossie net. More importantly I found the staff to be completely trustworthy and I felt completely safe. Food and drink were good (fish Tikka was Awesome, as were the Mojitos).
The rooms are set back from the beach giving some privacy but you’re only metres from the sea. I had a great time here – Om Shanti indeed…..

“A nice relaxing stay and exotic”Agoda
nature close , discreet, welcome present and effective resourcing..
The trip was delightfully fine with a discreet and this same late-season home , they closed just after we arrived, the food is good simple. They have been good advice when we needed a driver, a massage. Highly recommended . Although the rooms are somewhat spartan they were clean , and proximity to the beach is very comfortable to live.

“Couldn’t be happier”Trip Advisor
Just got back to Canada from a month long trip to India. By far the highlight of the trip was my 10 day stay at Om Shanti Huts in Patnam Beach, Goa.
If you are looking for a place to go where you can relax and forget about the stress of the real world for a while, then I would DEFFINATELY suggest Om Shanti.
The operative word in Patnam is “chill”, the pace is laid back in the extreme with lot’s of people doing Yoga on the beach in the morning. However, if you want a little more excitement in the evening, you can catch a tuk-tuk over to Palolem for Rs. 50(about $1.10) and it takes less than 5 minutes, or you can walk there in about 40 minutes.
Om Shanti itself is a great place to hang out , I spent many a day just reading a book, going for a swim, eating, and chatting with other guests. The food is quite good ( the Tandoori is exellent), but if you want to change it up one evening, then you have about a dozen different choises of restaurants all within a short walk, and more choices if you want to get off the beach.
Sanket, the owner, and his staff were absolutly great. Very helpful if you ever have a question or request, and always on hand to take your order, or just sit and chat when their not busy. I honestly felt at home there, and I will definately be retuning, probably for a more extended stay. There were some regular’s there, who were staying in Patnam for 3 to 6 months, and would come to Om Shanti to spend the day at their usual table or sunbed.
One of the other big pluses about Patnam is that all the hut owner’s belong to a beach co-op, so they all pool some money together to hire extra security, so there is absoluely no beach peddlers or beggers allowed on the beach. Security was never an issue as well, I left the door to my hut wide open half of the time, and the only time I ever locked it was when I left the beach to go some where else. I felt completely safe at all times.
All in all, I would have to say the Patnam is THE best beach in all of Goa, and the Om Shanti was definatly the best choice!
There is no question, I will be going back to the Om Shanti next season, the only question is for how long. If i can convince my boss, I will be going for 3 months( January to March). This place has become my new home away from home, and I will be counting the day’s until i can get back there.

“great 2 month stay”Trip Advisor
I recently said goodbye to our friends at Om Shanti after spending an enjoyable 2 months chilling out near the beach. Patnem Beach is beautiful and Om Shanti bar offers a perfect spot to watch the gorgeous sunsets.
I met many wonderful and interesting people from all over the world in our little community there, shared backgammon games, a couple of communal dinners and lots of time relaxing, swimming, or whatever….staff are great and lots of food choices, especially wonderful tandoori cooked fish.
“No. 1 hang out place in Patnem Beach”Trip Advisor
Well, most of the restaurants on the beach are fairly the same. Same menus, same quality, same prices. But for some reason we got caught by The Om Shanti Restaurant (just to the left when you enter the beach). The reason for that is quite simple. Firstly the service was excellent, nice, friendly and quick. Secondly the location, you are at the very entrance to the beach and when the sun sets you can follow the siluettes of all the people comming down there. Thirdly, its priceworthy! After a few days we wanted to shop around a bit more and realized that the prices on the nearby restaurants were higher. Fourthly, the food was always good! Just try their veggie tandori for just 150 INR – its just great! And when I come to think about it: they actually have the most clean toilettes of all premises in the area! Which is quite something when it comes to India. And the huts seem very clean and nice.

“Very Good Beach Huts”Trip Advisor
Booked into Om Shanti after leaving our huts in Palolem due to noise. What a pleasure. Cheaper and MUCH nicer, hot water as well.
Very friendly and helpful.
Food was good – ate here most nights – and very comfortable.
Huts were a good size with stone floors, plenty of room an hot water. Yes I know it’s warm in Goa but sometimes a hot shore really hits the spot.
Would we stay here again? Definitely and we would recommend it to others.
Thanks Om Shanti. We’ll see you again I’m sure.

“a very relaxing experience”Trip Advisor
stayed at this place recently and thorougly enjoyed it.i was with my new wife and booked online first and can say it definetley lives up to its promotion. We had a lovely beach facing hut and fell asleeep most nights listening to the sound of the sea.The room has its own balcony which is raised up from the restaurant so it feels very private. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much for them. The food was excellant and it was great to be able to walk straight in to the sea for an early morning swim from the hut. This place was excellant value for money and sitting with new wife beverely eating crab and wine for under 12 pound for both of us whlle watching the sun go down will be a memorie we will both cherish.Thank you sanket and nanu for making our homeymoon so special. We will be back.totally recommend this place
On our recent 3 week holiday to Goa we spent four days on the beach here, didn’t move it was so lovely. Right on a wonderful beach, walks from here great, everywhere clean, food outstanding, evening time special with all tables moved out onto beach under the stars, sea here calm overall the best resort in Goa.
